Is OrbPops free?+
Yes. You can create an account, build Pops, and host live games for free. The free plan includes up to 10 published Pops and 5 AI Pop drafts per month. Premium adds unlimited Pops, unlimited AI, and OrbCity.
Do students need an account?+
No. Students join live classroom games with a 6-digit code and a nickname. Accounts are only required for teachers who create quizzes and host sessions.
What is a Pop?+
A Pop is your question bank — a reusable set of questions with optional cover images, media, categories, and folders. You can host the same Pop in different game modes.
Which game modes are available?+
Five original modes: Classic (live quiz), Rocket Race (async race), Treasure Hunt (dig for treasure), OrbCity (city builder — Premium), and OrbGrid (live board). All modes use questions from your quiz (Pop).
Is OrbPops a Kahoot alternative?+
Yes. Teachers use OrbPops as a classroom quiz and educational game platform: live join-by-code sessions, homework Treasure Hunt and OrbCity, plus practice quizzes. Game modes are original — not a Kahoot clone.
Can I use OrbPops for both classroom and homework?+
Yes. Host a live game in class, then assign homework or a practice quiz from the same question bank. Students join live with a 6-digit code or open a homework link — no student account required.
What does gamification mean in OrbPops?+
Your questions become classroom games with points, timers, leaderboards, and mode-specific mechanics (rockets, treasure maps, city building, live boards). Teachers keep control of the quiz content; students play.
How does Premium billing work?+
Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription through Mercado Pago or PayPal. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your billing settings, which opens your payment provider's portal.
Can I assign homework without a live session?+
Yes. From any published Pop you can create homework or practice links. Students open the link, enter their name, and complete the activity asynchronously.
Can I use AI to create questions?+
Every account gets 5 free AI Pop drafts per month (full Pop creation and add-questions with AI). Premium includes unlimited AI generations. You can always create and edit Pops manually on any plan.
Is my content public?+
Pops are private by default. You choose whether to publish a Pop to your library or make it discoverable publicly. Live game codes and homework links are shared only with people you give them to.
How do I delete my account?+
Contact us through your profile settings or the support channel listed in our Privacy Policy. We will process deletion requests in line with applicable data protection laws.
